Welcome to Gainey Saddle Co.

Situated in Texas in Southern Queensland, we are a small family run saddlery aiming to supply rural Australia with the quality, hard-wearing gear it needs to get the job done.

Braden Gainey was first introduced to the saddlery trade when he was young watching his father Peel Gainey make bridles and breastplates of a night and of course many saddles. He would always find himself a spot at the end of the bench and have a go at making all kinds of things with Peel's scrap leather and old buckles from past repair work.

After finishing school, Braden went on to complete his carpentry apprenticeship in Inverell where he lived with his father and got to spend a lot more time in the saddlery workshop of a night. He spent a few more years in the building industry before moving away and working in a saddlery full time.

In 2020, Braden was back working as a carpenter when he started taking on custom saddlery orders, and before too long, was able to work in the industry he loves full time and Gainey Saddle Co. was born.

Today, Gainey Saddle Co. is run by Braden and his wife Emily, and they're pleased to be able to supply their customers with the highest quality saddles and strapping that they know they can trust.
